Since 1977, UW International & English Language Programs has been offering English language instruction at the University of Washington, a distinguished university located in Seattle, Washington. Students in our programs study with highly-trained English language professionals on the stunning UW campus and in downtown Seattle.
Through the University of Washington’s Academic English Program, students are prepared so that if they decide to enter a degree program, they’ll be able to participate fully in academic life and succeed in their chosen field. Emphasis is placed on helping students to improve their academic language proficiency, as well as to help improve their academic literacy and their ability to read, write, and think at the university level.
