Room and Board
Students are housed in furnished single rooms with Internet access, TV, air conditioning, telephone and bathroom with shower. Meal cards are good for every dining hall on campus. Each dining hall has its own menu but it is the same each day, so students are advised to budget for additional food spending if they wish to try different kinds of Chinese cuisine. Students homesick for American food have plenty of options, from KFC to Starbucks, just outside the campus gates.

Airport Pickup
Airport pickup is included in the package price, but only on the arrival dates specified on the Dates and Prices page. Students who wish to arrive early to sight-see will need to handle their own transportation and accommodations until the dormitories open on the specified dates.

Health Insurance
WEgroup uses Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) to provide health insurance for participants. This coverage typically extends a few days before and after each program. Students will be provided with ID cards, exact coverage dates and claims instructions approximately one month before their departure for China.

Organized Excursions
Organized excursions will vary depending on student interest. Many students prefer to explore on their own once they have gotten accustomed to the country. Shanghai, a hub of global commerce and home to the world's largest seaport, offers endless activities for visitors. WEgroup students have also traveled afield to Beijing, Hangzou, Xi'an, Henan and the ancient towns of QiBao and ZhengZhou.
