The well-worn cobblestones have felt the hooves of kings' horses, the jackboots of Hitler's armies, the heaving wheels of Soviet tanks, and the shuffling feet of students in passive revolt.

Tuition and Fees
See Classes for more detailed course descriptions and syllabi.

Prague Semester: Students have access to the entire course catalog during spring and fall terms, subject to restrictions on prerequisites and internship scheduling. You can download the 2009-2010 AAU course catalog here.

Prague Summer: The Prague Summer program is more focused on the internship component than on coursework. Students will take intensive Elementary Czech for the first 2.5 weeks, followed by one elective for the remainder of the session.

Internships
Anglo-American University will work with you directly to ensure an internship placement before you arrive in Prague. All internship placements are English-friendly--but they are also an excellent place to practice your Czech!

Possible placements include:
  • Parliament of the Czech Republic
  • Radio Free Europe
  • International Women's Association of Prague
  • United Nations High Commission on Refugees
  • Hilton Prague

Accommodation
AAU does not offer on-campus housing, but works directly with students to find appropriate housing placements in Prague. Your housing will be arranged before you arrive. Students are responsible for their own food costs during the program.

Airport Pickup
Airport pickup is included in the package price, but only on the arrival dates specified on the Dates and Prices page. Students who wish to arrive early to sight-see will need to handle their own transportation and accommodations until their accommodations open on the specified dates.

Health Insurance
WEgroup uses Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) to provide health insurance for participants. This coverage typically extends a few days before and after each program. Students will be provided with ID cards, exact coverage dates and claims instructions approximately one month before their departure for Prague.

Organized Excursions
AAU will organize two excursions for WEgroup students during the semester, and one during the summer. Destinations (depending on student interest) may include the Terezin Internment Camp, Cesky Krumlov castle, and/or weekend trips to Krakow or Budapest.
